The course will take a holistic view of ‘industry’ stakeholders, notably contractors, clients/customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, regulators, utility owners and the general public, and explore;:
- their perspectives, feelings, motivations and expectations
- contractor culture in relation to stakeholders and the associated impacts on and perceptions in relation to the corporate image
- The benefits of good relationships, how they can be achieved and the likely impacts of bad relationships
- Who is responsible for maintaining good relationships, the attitude and behaviors of the contractor’s team to stakeholders and the importance of team leadership in shaping effective relationship outcomes
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will explore the importance of achieving and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders, how these are best achieved and what to avoid in relationships, and how to monitor the outcomes of the relationship building process and impacts on the project outcomes.
