Learning Outcomes:
This course will give participants considerable insight into the Security of Payments Act, and their obligations and responsibilities to ensure successful completion of a contact. While focused on the important legal principles, it will do this in a very practical way and apply them in a civil construction context.
The session will also look at some recent court decisions including about a how payment claim can now include the recovery of the proceeds of a wrongfully upon bank guarantee payment or bond.
